Vaccine Hesitancy Research Results

Vaccine Hesitancy EngageMB Survey Results

One million vaccinations have now been administered in Manitoba. This represents about two-thirds of eligible Manitobans who have received at least one dose of vaccine. That is a significant accomplishment and we thank the many Manitobans who have done their part and already rolled up their sleeve to take part in this historic immunization campaign.

The vaccine is one tool we can use to help reduce the risk of COVID-19. If we all get immunized, we can protect ourselves, protect our families and protect Manitoba.

A Million Thanks

It’s an incredible milestone in the fight against COVID-19: Manitoba has given 1 million doses of vaccine. We could not have done it without the support of our vaccine clinic staff, the Vaccine Implementation Task Force and the hundreds of thousands of Manitobans who rolled up their sleeves to help #ProtectMB

Tell us your #1MThanksMB story - Is there someone who helped encourage you to get vaccinated? An experience at the clinic you want to celebrate? Another reason to say "Thank you!" for vaccines and the Manitoba vaccination program? Share it here, and we'll share it with Manitobans.

Thank you for sharing your #1MThanksMB #ProtectMB story with us.

    Anne is my Hero

    by JanBoh, 4 months ago

I have been terrified of needles and medical settings my entire life. Ever since getting inoculated in elementary school and passing out I have always been hesitant towards getting vaccinations. After over a year of this pandemic, being exposed to vaccine information, and seeing it everywhere, I knew that it was my responsibility as a Manitoban to get my COVID19 vaccine when it was my turn.

I was fortunate enough to have the most kind health care worker administer my vaccine at the RBC Convention Centre super site in Winnipeg on May 30th. The entire operation right from parking to... Continue reading

Tough time for my 12 yr old daughter- Hats off to you!

    by Paola, 4 months ago

My daughter has been having some anxiety episodes since the pandemic started. Facing a needle stressed her a lot. While waiting on the line a nurse noticed she was nervous.. not sure how she did it. My daughter was wearing a mask and she saw her from a very far distance. We've been directed to a private room where she was taken care off. She had an episode but she was supported by the nurses and left the RBC Convention Center with her vaccine on her.

I don't have the words to express the gratitude to all you do. You... Continue reading

First Teen at the Morden Super Site

    by Wahl, 4 months ago

This boy was the first teen (he is 12) to get vaccinated in Morden on May 15th. We must have lucked out and got a cancelation appointment as he was only eligible the day before. The staff there was so happy for him and gave him an ovation after he checked in. He loves being part of the solution and hopes that others will follow in his footsteps so he can get back to sports and hanging out with his friends

Flin Flon Rocks in more ways than our landscape.

    by DoGrWi, 4 months ago

I received my first vaccine, AstraZeneca, at a pharmacy. I was informed efficiently and felt confident in my decisions. Thank you to our local pharmacists for your care, concern, and hard work with vaccine rollouts. My second dose; Moderna was administered last week at our Community Hall. I chose to attend a “walk in” and waited approximately three hours before the doors opened. Our lineup was respectful and patient despite cold, rainy, windy weather. Once inside the true dynamics of what hard work goes into these clinics was in full force. The smooth transition from one section to another was... Continue reading

    A big thank you!

    by kkwasnik, 4 months ago
I was hesitant about getting the vaccine for a few weeks actually because I am at risk of getting a blood clot I thought that if I got the vaccine I would get another one but I read an article and they interviewed a doctor who said getting a blood clot from the vaccine was extremely low and rare, also my boyfriend encouraged me to get one so I could do the things I miss doing, I feel good about getting one now and I am looking forward to getting life back to normal again 😀

    I was afraid

    by Ravenblade19791, 4 months ago

I am afraid of needles and with so much disinformation mixed with helpful information, I had enough and got my first shot.

Me, someone who is afraid of needles went and got my first shot of moderna. I did it for me and those around me.

People need to remember that we all live on the same world. We share this space. Times are tough but it shouldn't take our government to bribe people into taking it.

When I read about that lottery incentive the first thing I said was "Do not enter me. I didn't get my first back... Continue reading

Laughter, friendship & a new Purse!

by Gail Deere, 4 months ago

Our first shot was April 1st in Morris. We didn't know what to expect but we were so happy with their process! In and out in 45 min! Great job Morris. Our 2nd dose of Moderna was on June 13, 2pm in Morden! Everything ran so smoothly, all the clinic workers were outstanding. Michelle gave us our shot and she was a hoot!! Didn't feel a thing! She was so joyful and commented twice how much she liked my purse. On the way out the lady at the exit doors said, "You better get out of here before you lose... Continue reading
