One million vaccinations have now been administered in Manitoba. This represents about two-thirds of eligible Manitobans who have received at least one dose of vaccine. That is a significant accomplishment and we thank the many Manitobans who have done their part and already rolled up their sleeve to take part in this historic immunization campaign.
The vaccine is one tool we can use to help reduce the risk of COVID-19. If we all get immunized, we can protect ourselves, protect our families and protect Manitoba.

It’s an incredible milestone in the fight against COVID-19: Manitoba has given 1 million doses of vaccine. We could not have done it without the support of our vaccine clinic staff, the Vaccine Implementation Task Force and the hundreds of thousands of Manitobans who rolled up their sleeves to help #ProtectMB
Tell us your #1MThanksMB story - Is there someone who helped encourage you to get vaccinated? An experience at the clinic you want to celebrate? Another reason to say "Thank you!" for vaccines and the Manitoba vaccination program? Share it here, and we'll share it with Manitobans.
Thank you for sharing your #1MThanksMB #ProtectMB story with us.
All directions are very clear and folks are around every corner to show you where to go. It was much faster than anticipated, I'm glad I chose this location for my vaccine. Actual vaccine was fast and painless. Thank you!
I'm so grateful to the people in Leila Soccer Site. They gave us Moderna. Me, my cousin and grandma we're done with the first dose. The site was systematic and the process were great. We stayed for like 20-30 minutes including the wait after vaccine. It's really quick and the workers were very helpful in terms of procedures or where to go next.. I didn't feel anything, the one who vaccinated me tap me on shoulder telling me it's done.. Thank you for your wonderful service.. See you on the second dose 😊
Yesterday I went to the Leila super site for my second dose after getting Astra Zeneca back in April at the local pharmacy. I was so impressed at how well this location set up, the positive energy from everyone on site and the efficiency. I hate needles but came in very excited to get shot number 2 and the lady that did mine was so fast and before I knew it she was done. Thank you to everyone involved, from those controlling the flow, to the cleaners sanitizing chairs as people leave to the medical professionals and vaccinators. You are... Continue reading
I had my fair share of doubts when the COVID-19 vaccines was first rolled out. It's very new! It's foreign! I am going to admit, the unnecessary and misleading fearmongering contributed with the reasons why I was having second thoughts to get it. But scientists and doctors that are experts in this field knows best. And as time days goes by, I had friends who works in medical field had already taken their first jab and some have completed it. A good proof that we indeed need to be vaccinated not just to... Continue reading
I was one of those AZ 40+ people who raced out to their local clinic. Healthway on Portage answered the phone on the first ring and booked me in 2 days after for April 21. Office manager was welcoming and chatty (I was the only one there) and the lovely gent who gave me the shot sat in the room with me for 15 minutes - more fun chatting, it was real family-style personal service!
A big thank you to the Brandon Friendship Centre. We were able to attend walk-in today to get two 12-17s their second shot. Such a relief with Pfizer to be in short supply . So well run and such friendly positive staff! Thanks!
Me and my family including my extended one were almost all inoculated with the first dose of Pfizer/Moderna vaccine. Almost because the remaining 4 out of a large family of 20 people are kids below 10 years old. Had these kids been eligible to get the vaccine they would have gotten it too.
Getting vaccinated is not a decision that our family had to make. For all of us, it is a given. We all believe in the science of vaccination. If a vaccine is out there to protect our health and fight-off a virus - the next step for... Continue reading
We lost our mom in December to COVID-19 and when I went for my first vaccination, she was very much on my mind. As they were getting ready to administer my shot all I could think of was that I wished the vaccine was ready just a little earlier and that she was able to be protected instead of succumbing to the virus a week before Christmas. It took everything in me not to break down and cry as they congratulated me on being vaccinated.
I am grateful that we now do have a vaccine, and that it will save... Continue reading
On June 20th, my wife and I received our second shot. The first shot had been administered at our local pharmacy. When we arrived at around 8:40am there was a huge line up. Seeing the look in our eyes one of the workers stated the lineup moves quickly. Wow they were right. The whole process has an army of workers that worked so efficiently. From the moment we stepped through the door the sheer numbers of helpers operated like a well oiled machine and we left so impressed. If persons are wondering on whether they should go to one of...
