No that part seems completely fair. BUT stopping live bait harvesting is outradious!!! This needs to be readdressed as it is putting professional bait harvester out of business. Is this TRULY what Manitoba stands for????

I think it is terrible that you are putting all these people out of business. The problem is that now everybody will just be trapping their own bait and transporting them to different lakes. You are going to have a real disaster on your hand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There should be a slot limit in place on walleye and lake trout on all high quality management waters.

Please consider keeping year-round Lake Sturgeon fishing open since there is a zero fish limit in place already and it is difficult to exclude them from bycatch if someone is fishing in the same water body as them anyway.

Given the heavy burden on Manitoba Angling Manitoba should consider not giving a fishing quota to the parents of children who are not old enough to hold a fishing rod. Letting parents catch 2 to 3 times the limit. If you arn't holding a fishing rod ...you do not have a limit. Lets be fair to all.

Like the proposals but a lot of holes and the amount of characters allowed aren't enough to cover them all!

It makes no sense to have size and quantity limits if no regulations will be imposed on commercial entities. They left hundreds of fish of different sizes dead on the ice while recreational fishermen are allowed only four at a time. That's a true waste of resources and harms future fish population.

I support slot limits for walleye to ensure the large females are left to spawn and sustain future populations.

Targeting an industry and people’s jobs is just plain wrong. Banning live bait will do nothing but hurt tourism in Manitoba, increase pressure on other bait fisheries and put myself and many others out of a job. If it actually was a legit problem it would be banned with a payout to bait harvesters.

There’s absolutely no evidence that using live bait will spread invasive species. Please provide evidence if so. Also...If your going to make new rules/laws, please make sure they apply to ALL citizens so that you are not condoning racism. We are ALL the same, it’s up to you to treat us accordingly

As a sport fisherman in the Whiteshell, also having guided at various lodges I support the new restrictions that any Walleye over 17 inches be released, there is to much poaching happening on our waters. If people keep the larger egg producing Walleye, the population will be decimated.
