Advanced Education and Training (Province of Manitoba) is reviewing the adult education system in Manitoba. We want to strengthen and revitalize the system to provide more Manitobans with opportunities to pursue further education/training and/or find a good family-supporting job.
Adult education is a resource for learners who require more education after attending a K-12 school. This could be with the goal to:
- Improve their reading and math skills
- Get their high school diploma
- Get the credits they need for university, college or training programs
- Get their high school equivalency credential (formerly the GED, now the Canadian Adult Education Credential - CAEC)
Advanced education institutions play an important role in the adult education continuum, providing adult learners the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge needed to move on to rewarding jobs.
You have been identified as an individual with the expertise and experience to provide information on your institution’s role in recruiting, transitioning and/or supporting adult learners seeking to further their education.
Your participation is anonymous. The enclosed survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
If you require an alternate format or have questions, please contact us at AdultEdModernization@gov.mb.ca.
Your participation is greatly appreciated!

The department of Advanced Education and Training is conducting a review of the adult education system to strengthen outcomes for learners.
This survey is designed to gather information and feedback from those working within the adult education system – teachers, instructors, education directors, literacy coordinators, and authorized representatives.
We would like to hear about how we can improve the system to better support learners and also support the educators and administrators providing this important service.
For teachers, instructors, and authorized representatives, the survey should take about 10 minutes to complete. For Education Directors and Literacy Coordinators, who will be asked additional questions about centre/program operations, the survey will take approximately 15 minutes. The survey is confidential and voluntary.
Submissions will be accepted until June 27, 2025. If you have questions or suggestions, or need this survey in an alternative format, please email AdultEdModernization@gov.mb.ca.
Your participation is important and greatly appreciated.
