Improving Adult Education - Survey for Private Vocational Institutions
Advanced Education and Training (Province of Manitoba) is reviewing the adult education system in Manitoba. We want to strengthen and revitalize the system to provide more Manitobans with opportunities to pursue further education/training and/or find a good family-supporting job.
Adult education is a resource for learners who require more education after attending a K-12 school. This could be with the goal to:
- Improve their reading and math skills
- Get their high school diploma
- Get the credits they need for university, college or training programs
- Get their high school equivalency credential (formerly the GED, now the Canadian Adult Education Credential - CAEC)
Advanced education institutions play an important role in the adult education continuum, providing adult learners the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge needed to move on to rewarding jobs.
You have been identified as an individual with the expertise and experience to provide information on your institution’s role in recruiting, transitioning and/or supporting adult learners seeking to further their education.
Your participation is anonymous. The enclosed survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
If you require an alternate format or have questions, please contact us at AdultEdModernization@gov.mb.ca.
