COVID-19 Vaccine Planning for Fall

Consultation has concluded.

NEW: Read the What We Heard Report!

Manitoba is planning the COVID-19 vaccine campaign for this fall.

A new bivalent COVID-19 vaccine is expected to be approved by Health Canada and become available in the coming weeks. The bivalent vaccine is designed to protect against both the initial COVID-19 strain that was included in previous vaccines and one of the Omicron variants. The bivalent vaccine is expected to provide increased protection against the current COVID-19 variants and lower the chances of severe illness if infected. The bivalent vaccine would be provided as a booster dose, so to be eligible a person needs to have received their initial two or three dose primary series.

This survey is for all Manitobans to share their perspectives, which will help to inform the next phases of the COVID-19 vaccine campaign in the province.

Vaccines are one of the tools we can use to help reduce the risk of COVID-19. Getting immunized protects ourselves, our families and Manitoba.
