Construction Industry Minimum Wage Regulation, amendment

The proposed amendments to the Construction Industry Minimum Wage Regulation (Regulation) will:

  1. update the minimum wage rates for the industrial, commercial and institutional and heavy construction sectors of the construction industry wages for 2025, 2026, and 2027;
  2. add a new Trainee 3 level to all Skilled Tradespersons wage schedules; and
  3. update and modify the classification of trades descriptions for the Heavy Construction sector.

These amendments implement consensus recommendations of the Construction Industry Minimum Wage Panel, which met in 2024 to revise wage schedules under the Regulation. These amendments aim to ensure wages keep up with the current market standards and that Manitoba employers can recruit and retain the skilled professionals needed to support ongoing development.
