To bring The Builders’ Liens Amendment Act (Prompt Payment) into force the minister must first designate a person or entity as the authority to adjudicate disputes (the adjudication authority) in November/December 2024 (regulation #1). This will enable a second regulation to be developed to fully implement the prompt payment scheme, including forms, by April 1, 2025.
