The Government of Manitoba is continuing work on amendments to the Police Services Act to reflect today’s changing needs and trends in policing. This spring we’re focusing on police governance, oversight, and a new public safety framework.
The input gathered from stakeholders and partners will be essential to informing this work. The amendments that are being developed will establish a new layered service delivery model, provide enhancements to the Community and First Nations Safety Officer Programs, and will reform the processes by which Manitobans bring forward misconduct complaints about law enforcement.
