The Manitoba government is reviewing a proposed stewardship program plan for safe disposal of household medical sharps. Under the Household Hazardous Material and Prescribed Material Stewardship Regulation of the Waste Reduction and Prevention Act, Health Products Stewardship Association has submitted this plan on behalf of the stewards of medical sharps who sell their products into Manitoba.
Manitoba Conservation and Climate is inviting members of the public and other interested parties to review the stewardship plan and share their views.
The deadline for providing comments on the plan is December 4, 2020, submit your comments online.
