We’re accountable to you. Through our board of directors, we report to the Minister of Crown Services and Cabinet. We also report to the Standing Committee of the Legislative Assembly and the Public Utilities Board and are governed by and administer legislative and regulatory requirements under The Manitoba Public Insurance Act, The Crown Corporations Governance and Accountability Act, and The Drivers and Vehicles Act, most notably.

The Crown Corporations Governance and Accountability Act ensures that Manitoba Public Insurance holds an annual engagement or meeting by electronic means, and we welcome you to view the presentation by Manitoba Public Insurance’s President and CEO, Eric Herbelin. Following the presentation, we welcome your feedback by completing the survey.

  • What We Heard

    Providing Value:

Of the survey responses received, two-thirds (67%) of Manitobans agreed that Manitoba Public Insurance provides value to Manitobans. As one of our Corporate Values, we strive to provide value in the form of affordable rates and universal and accessible coverage. As a public auto insurer, fiscal responsibility is at the forefront of everything we do.

    Verbatim Feedback in Action:

Some survey feedback received is reflective of customer feedback received through other mechanisms, some of which the Corporation is pleased to have made recent changes and improvements to, to respond to customer wishes and concerns. Two examples of feedback received was related to MPI’s catalytic-converter betterment schedule, which was recently adjusted to ensure greater value to customers; and additional gender identifiers added to licences or identity cards to promote greater options for self-representation and inclusivity.
