Land Emergency Medical Response System Regulation, amendment and Regulated Health Professions General Regulation, amendment

Regulatory amendments are proposed to allow land Emergency Medical Response system licensees to staff a non-transporting emergency medical response (EMS) vehicle - which provides first response services to supplement ambulance services - with trained individuals (“first responders”, or FRs), who are not paramedics or emergency medical responders (EMRs), and to enable the FRs to perform specified reserved acts in providing advanced first aid.
