Disclosure to Protect Against Intimate Partner Violence Regulation
The Disclosure to Protect Against Intimate Partner Violence Act (Clare’s Law) received Royal Assent on November 3, 2022, and is awaiting proclamation. The proposed regulation will establish a new service enabling individuals at risk of intimate partner violence (IPV) or family violence (FV) to access information about their partner’s documented history of violence. The regulation sets out the procedures for application, assessing risk, disclosing and sharing information.
